Air-filled and puncture-free wheels offer different practical advantages. The right choice depends on your everyday walks, the stroller’s overall design and how much tyre maintenance you want to do. Here is what to compare before deciding.
Air-filled wheels
Air-filled tyres can give a soft, yielding feel, but the ride also depends on wheel size, suspension and the surface underfoot. Try the complete stroller rather than judging comfort by the tyre type alone.
These tyres need regular pressure checks and can puncture. Use the pressure specified on the tyre and follow the instructions for your model. Ask your Emmaljunga partner about suitable replacement tyres or tubes and help with repairs.

Puncture-free wheels
Puncture-free wheels do not need pumping and avoid the punctures associated with inflatable tyres. They are a practical option if you prefer to leave tyre-pressure checks out of your routine.
They still need care. Check the wheels for wear or damage, keep the axles clean, and maintain the wheel attachments and parking brake as described in the manual. “Puncture-free” does not mean that a wheel cannot wear out or be damaged.

Choose for your everyday walks
- Think about the surfaces you use most, such as pavements, park paths or firm gravel paths.
- Try a current model on representative surfaces suitable for stroller use. Compare steering, wheel size and suspension as well as tyre type.
- Ask your Emmaljunga partner to confirm which wheel sets fit your exact chassis and model year before buying replacements.
No wheel type makes every surface suitable for a stroller. Follow the manual’s limits for your model and adapt your route to the conditions.
Keep the wheels in good condition
Clean and dry the wheels after dirty or wet walks, check that they are securely attached, and follow the model-specific maintenance instructions. Remove dirt, sand, snow and ice from the moving parts of the braking system. You can find the instructions for your stroller on our manuals page.
