SERVICE & PRAM CARE

Even though we perform quality and life testing on our products and only utilise the highest quality materials, it is still important that you care for and maintain your pram to prolong its lifetime and to ensure that it continues to work effectively.

No pram can remain free from wear and tear, for example, on the wheels, brakes and other moving parts of the chassis. Similarly, no fabric can maintain 100% light fastness if subjected to UV radiation.

However, if you follow the care instructions, you will have a lot of pleasure from your pram for a very long time to come!

FABRIC CARE

All fabrics are removable to enable them to be cleaned and the pram to retain its freshness. Follow the care instructions supplied with the pram or contact your authorised retailer for care advice.

GENERAL CARE

Never expose your vehicle to excessive sunlight for long periods of time. Always use a raincover when it is snowing or raining.

Never store your pram in cold and/or damp conditions. To prevent mold forming on the fabric, it is important that you make sure that the pram is completely dried after use, preferably at room temperature.

Should the chassis become wet, dry it off promptly. Make sure the pram is completely dry before storing.

Rinse clean and dry the pram thoroughly after use if it is used near the ocean or on salted roads.

Take care when transporting or storing the chassis as the surface is delicate. Scratches to the chassis surface that arise after purchase are not a valid complaint.

ROUTINE INSPECTION

Regularly clean the chassis and other metal parts of the pram, dry off and lubricate all joints on the chassis. Spokes and wheel rims should be frequently cleaned with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly.

When the pram is used during the winter time, it should be cleaned at least once a week. Lack of maintenance could cause corrosion. Should corrosion occur, which is a possibility, you can remove this with a corrosion cleaning agent.

It is recommended that you lubricate wheel axles and the suspension system every three months (clean axles with a cloth prior to lubrication). Axles may be lubricated with petroleum jelly or automobile oil.

CHECK REGULARLY THAT:

  • All chassis locking devices are functioning correctly all rivets, nuts and bolts are firmly tightened and not broken.
  • All plastic parts are not cracked or broken the wheel cogs are in a good condition.
  • All velcros are securely fastened on the backrest seat fabric pocket and seat board flap the popper is securely fastened on the footrest flap.
  • All elastic straps are in good condition the secondary locking mechanism is intact and can move freely the brake and brake pins operate correctly and that brake cogs are properly attached the handles and the base of the carrycot should be inspected regularly for signs of damage and wear.

PLEASE OBSERVE

Tyres can cause discolouration when in contact with PVC flooring or other plastic materials. Always use wheel protectors if the pram/stroller is stored on delicate surfaces.
